I was a swim mom for 16 years, always learning and experimenting with athlete nutrition. Swimming almost everyday while keeping up with the demands of school requires a great amount of quality energy. In the meantime, I neglected my own health. Not eating enough, eating the wrong things or eating too late. Too often I felt tired. My metabolic blood test results revealed why I was walking around with low energy.
During that time I started my education in nutrition through Precision Nutrition and today I am a proud certified nutrition coach. I applied everything I learned to my own life, and as a result, not only have I lost weight, but I have more energy than I have ever had before.
My recipes are prioritized around whole, fiber-rich, nutrient dense foods while minimizing sugars and processed ingredients, so that you can have the energy to get through all the demands of your day with still enough for the most important people in your life… family, friends and YOU. But I know how busy life gets, so I use quality products to shorten cooking time and make my recipes even healthier.
At the cellular level it’s about maximizing mitochondrial function for more energy with real food for gut and brain health, lower inflammation, stabilize blood sugar and positive mood. Of course exercise, quality sleep and managing stress are all part of the formula.
